Aristotle was born in 384 BC in Stagira, Macedonia, north of Athens, on the coast of the Aegean Sea. Aristotle's father was a personal adviser to King Amntas II, King of Macedonia, in the field of Physics. When Aristotle was 17 years old, he studied at the Academy in Athens under Plato's advise.
Aristotle was the brightest pupil of Plato, he was often questioned the methods of teaching Plato and openly expressed disapproval. Plato's emphasis on learning about abstract ideas and mathematical truth. Aristotle'm more interested in observation of the "Real World" around him. Plato often refer to Aristotle as "the brain" or "the mind of the school." Plato commented on Aristotle, "Where other need the spur, Aristotle needs the rein."
Aristotle studied at the Academy for 20 years, until Plato's death. After that, King of Macedonia mengundannya to administer the education his son, Alexander. Aristotle accepted the offer and taught Alexander to succeed his father as a king. At that time, Aristotle founded a school called the Lyceum, or "Peripatetic School". Lyceum has a large library with many similar plots and gardens with many plants and animals. Aristotle and his students used to discuss various subjects while walking past her (Peripatetic is the Greek language of the street).
Many of them think that Aristotle is the father of teaching Biology and Science in general, he was observing and classifying the environment and anatomy of hundreds of living things. In its military expansion, Alexander ordered his soldiers to collect various species from which it passes to be studied by Aristotle.Aristotle is also an active writer, historical records say that he is writing to more than 1000 books. Most of his work is lost or destroyed, however, the preparation of the scientific world continues to hold back some of the most influential books, including Organon.
