Being born blind in one eye did not stop Augustus De morgan from becoming a well-read philosopher, historian, logician, and mathematician of course. De Morgan was born in Madras, India, when his father was working for East India Company. Moving to England, De Morgan was educated in Cambridge, and at the age of twenty-two he became the first professor of mathematics at the newly opened University of London (later renamed University College).
Demorgan viewed all of mathematics as an abstract study of symbols and of systems of operation applied to these symbols. While studying the ramification of symbolic logic, De Morgan formulated the general properties of complementation that now bear his name. De Morgan aslo wrote on calculus, algebra, and probability.

George Boole

George Boole was known as the father of Symbolic Logic. He, a self-taught mathematician, known more in the world of computing science. He is the son of a poor shopkeeper in Lincoln, England. Boole has only a little opportunity to pursue formal education, and prospects for advanced low also associated with family status. Like Leibniz, Boole self-taught Latin language when he was 12 years old. By translating a book, she received a scholarship (at the time, ability to speak Latin is a school social requirements).
After that, the academic desire to grow, and at the age of 15 years, he began his teaching career. While teaching arithmetic, she examines advanced mathematics and physics. in 1849, after 19 years of teaching in elementary school, he got a big change, he was assigned as Professor of Mathematics at Queen's College in the city of Cork, Ireland. The last, he had the opportunity to research in advanced mathematics, and he became a famous mathematician. When you see an opportunity Boole in formal education, it is an extraordinary achievement.
